HAIR CARE

Step 1: Olaplex Treatment (If Needed)

Use a bond-repair treatment if your hair has been:

  • Professionally bleached or colored

  • Heat styled frequently (daily flat ironing or curling)

Skip this step if:

  • This is your first wash before installation, and

  • The hair has not been bleached

Note: Always have bleaching done by a licensed colorist. Use a bond-repair treatment every wash (typically monthly) on colored or bleached bundles to maintain strength and repair.

Application:

  1. Apply treatment to dry hair; leave on as directed.

  2. Layer with the companion repair product and process for 30–45 minutes.

  3. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Important:
Raw hair is most fragile when wet.

  • Do not comb or detangle while shampoo is in the hair.

  • Detangle only after applying conditioner with a wide-tooth comb.

  • Once dry, the hair will return to its natural softness and flow.

Step 2: Clarify (Every 2–3 Months After Installation)

Clarifying removes buildup and restores natural movement. Only clarify after you’ve worn the hair for a while — not before your first install.

Choose a clarifying shampoo based on your hair needs:

  • Oily or product-heavy hair: Use a deep-cleansing clarifying shampoo.

  • Dry or color-treated hair: Use a gentle clarifying shampoo that won’t strip moisture.

How to Use:

  • Shampoo 1–2 times, rinsing well between washes.

  • Clarify only every 2–3 months.

  • Always follow with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

Step 3: Cleanse & Condition (Monthly)

How to Wash:

  • Massage a sulfate-free shampoo gently into the hair and rinse with lukewarm water.

  • Shampoo 1–2 times as needed.

  • Apply a moisturizing conditioner, leave on for 3–5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Tips:

  • Always use products labeled hydrating, moisture-rich, or repairing.

  • Avoid shampoos with sulfates or harsh detergents that can dry the hair out.

  • Use lightweight conditioners that soften without weighing down the strands.

Goal: Gentle cleansing + balanced hydration for softness, shine, and longevity.

Step 4: Deep Conditioning (Monthly)

Deep conditioning restores moisture and keeps raw hair soft, flowing, and frizz-free.

Choose a formula based on your hair’s condition:

  • For normal to dry bundles: Use a lightweight moisturizing hair mask or deep conditioner.

  • For very dry or color-treated bundles: Use a richer, nourishing deep treatment.

How to Apply:

  1. Apply from mid-lengths to ends.

  2. Cover with a plastic cap for 15–30 minutes.

  3. Rinse with cool water to seal the cuticle and lock in shine.

Use lightweight formulas for fine textures and richer ones sparingly for coarse or very dry hair.

Step 5: Drying

  • Air dry only — never blow dry.

  • Blot gently with a towel; avoid rubbing.

  • Hang hair to dry completely before styling or storing.

  • Avoid direct sunlight while drying.

Heat Protection:
Use a lightweight heat protectant spray before flat ironing or curling.

Dry End Softener:
Apply a small amount of lightweight serum or gloss to dry ends for shine and smoothness.

Shine & Frizz Control:
Use a lightweight silkening or shine mist after styling to tame frizz and add polish.

Extra Tips for Luxurious Hair

  • Always rinse with lukewarm water (use cool water after deep conditioning).

  • Detangle gently with a wide-tooth comb, starting from the ends upward.

  • Sleep on a silk pillowcase or bonnet to prevent friction.

  • Seal wefts before installation to reduce shedding.

  • Store bundles in a breathable bag or hanger when not in use.
